Find God's Word and Eat It
THURSDAY
JUN 9

 Jeremiah 15:16, Proverbs 4:20-22
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, LORD God of hosts. *My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health.

Author PhotoThe value and place you give to God's word in your life will determine the virtue and grace that will flow from God's word into your life. Psalm 119:162 says, I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. Job 23:12 says, I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. The word of God can be more effective on your health and every area of your life than any medication, diet, exercise, therapy or discipline. Remember that everything was made by the word of God, John 1:3. There is nothing that the word of God cannot create or handle in your life.

We find God's word by being willing to search for scriptures concerning our desires and we eat God's word by meditating on and speaking it to ourselves. When you find and eat God's Word, it will bring joy and rejoicing to your heart.

Some people fail to search for scriptures concerning their desires because they are ignorant of the fact that God has spoken many things and declared so many promises in His word concerning every single area of our lives. Make use of study materials like Bible dictionaries, a Bible concordance and varying commentaries. Follow the reference numbers and alphabets in your Bible. Ask questions and be a student of God's word. Trust the Holy Spirit and He will guide you into God's Word and promises concerning your life. Do not let the Word of God depart from your mouth and your life. Continually obey and declare it.

PRAYER FOCUS:
Tell God that you hunger and thirst for His Word concerning your life and situations. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in locating God's word for your life and situations to all their flesh.
