God’s Will is Thanksgiving

Psalm 96:1-13
O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
Before the Lord:for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth:
he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Thanksgiving is an attitude [mindset] of appreciation and gratitude to God for something received from Him or for what He has done for you.

Giving thanks involves declaring and proclaiming from your heart and mouth the loving kindness and faithfulness of God.
Psalm 92:1-2.
A psalm. A song to be sung on the Sabbath Day.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,
It is a good thing to give thanks to God because He is good all the times. When you are not thankful, you join yourself to the company of sinners and evil people.
Romans 1:21.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.
If it is good to give thanks to God, then it is evil not to give God thanks. Actually, the scriptures commanded us to turn away from unthankful.
2 Timothy 3:1-5.
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, a scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self- control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
According to Romans 1:21, it is thoughtlessness that leads to thanklessness. People, who do not think well, are the ones who will become unthankful. If you can think well, you will know how to give God thanks.

Thanksgiving is what leads you into praise. When you truly appreciation God and give Him thanks, it will become a celebration of God’s goodness and faithfulness. What leads you into praise is the power of thanksgiving. Psalm 100:4

1Thessalonians 5:18 – Thanksgiving is God’s will in everything. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. [Be thankful: God is sovereign and can redeem any situation]. And when you do the will of GOD, you obtain the promise of GOD. Hebrews 10:35-36.

Benefits of Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving procures supernatural increase and blessings. Psalm 67:3-6. When you are thankful to God for all He has done, He will increase you the more and bless you all round.
When you are thankful to God, He will perfect and complete all that’s yours. Thanksgiving guarantees wholeness and soundness. Luke 17:11-19.
Thanksgiving produces abundance. Mark 8:5-8. When you are thankful for little beginning, God Himself will increase greatly you. Job8:7.
When you offer thanksgiving to God, He will answer you when you call upon Him. Thanksgiving provokes speedy answer from God’s throne. Psalm 50:14-15,23.
Remember: when you are thoughtful, you will be thankful. When you are thankful, you will be praiseful. Praisefulness leads to joyfulness.

When you give thanks to God for the things He has done, you remind Him of the things you do not have.  If God must change your position, thank Him for where you are now…Psalm 103:1-5.
