| The Demonstration of God's Power |

1Corinthians 2:4-5, Acts 3:6-7
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. *Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him
up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

The church is not a motivational organization. Its function is not to preach to excite people; we preach to reveal God's power. Human wisdom and excellence of speech do not convey God's power to save, heal and deliver. It is faith in the power and the name of Jesus that does that. There is no other name given to men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. The power of God is in the gospel of Christ, so speak and preach the gospel of Christ so that men can put their faith in the power of God. Lay your hands on the sick and command them to be healed in the name of Jesus. Speak to situations in the authority of Christ and expect those situations to respond to you as they would respond to Christ. You are carrying Christ on your inside and you are His legal ambassador and representative on this earth. God wants everything about your life to manifest and demonstrate His power.The church is more than an NGO or a charitable organization. We are channels of God's power to heal, to save and to deliver. It is good to be charitable, but do not stop there; manifest God's power in the lives of others. There are things that NGOs and charitable organizations cannot accomplish that we, as the Body of Christ, can because at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord. We carry the power that testifies about the Lordship of Christ over every condition and situation. Have faith in God's power that is in you in Christ and make a demand upon it to manifest in and through your life.
PRAYER FOCUS: Declare in faith that you are a carrier of God's power and that your life, faith and message will demonstrate the power of Christ.
