Understanding Your Divine Identity.

Ephesians 2:1-10

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
The understanding of your identity in Christ determines how you function in lives. Knowing who you are gives you the ability to know how to live. If you do not know who you are, you will not know how to live.
Your identity is defined by your position in Christ. Your identity is not defined by your situations and circumstances, it is defined by what God has done for you in Christ, and who you are in Christ.
You need to understand your position in Christ. The knowledge of your divine identity will cause you to reign in life.
Proverbs 11:9 NKJV
The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.

With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous.

Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge, And he sins who hastens with his feet.

Desire without knowledge is not good, and to be overhasty is to sin and miss the mark.

Knowledge is essential and important for you if you desire to live the kind of life God has prepared for you in Christ. If you don't know how who you are, you won't know how to live. Identity is your foundation if you will to live in victory and blessing. It takes knowledge to live a holy life. It takes knowledge to live a victorious life. It takes knowledge to live in liberty and freedom. It takes knowledge to reign in life and remain as a more than conqueror.
Knowledge is knowing the truth. It is not just to know the truth, it is also knowing the truth. It is having a consistent, unbreakable fellowship with the truth.
John 8:32 NKJV
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
You need to understand your position in Christ. The knowledge of your divine identity will cause you to reign in life.
Your position is what determines your condition. What defines your divine identity is your position in Christ. You are what you are in Christ because of what God has done for you in Christ Jesus.

Your position is unchangeable because it's God's workmanship and handiwork, but your condition is subject to change. Your condition doesn't have the capacity to change your position, but the understanding of your position has all the divine ability to change and transform your condition.
Your position is in Christ. As a Christian your condition ought to follow your position in Christ. If your condition is contrary to your divine position, then you keep working out your salvation - your divine position - until your condition matches your divine position.
Never accept your condition for your position. Your condition is subject to change but your position is unchangeable, you cannot change your position. Understanding is required for living.
Psalms 119:144
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live.

Revelation knowledge through the Word of God carries the identity of Christ. You have been born of God. You are born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God that carries the identity of Christ in it.
Luke 4:16-20 NKJV
16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

For your life to experience true transformation, your mind must undergo a change in setting. Renewing of your mind is simply changing the setting of your mind by the use of the Sword of the Spirit.
