Your Walk is Before God
Genesis 17:1-2, Psalm 119:168 (GNB)
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. * I obey your commands and your instructions; you see everything I do.

Today, God wants you to be conscious of the fact that your walk is before Him. When scriptures refer to your “walk,” they don't simply only refer to your physical footsteps; they refer to everything you do and/or the way you live your life. To walk in the Spirit (Gal.5:16) is to live your life by the dictates or leading of the Spirit of God and to walk in the flesh is to live your life by the lusts and dictates of your flesh.
In our first text above, God wanted Abraham to remain conscious of the fact that He was aware of everything that he was doing. Being conscious of God's eyes produces a consciousness in you that enhances the way that you live your life. Godliness or godly living is a righteous and holy lifestyle that is produced by your continuous consciousness of God. It is easier to obey God and to walk in His ways when you are deeply conscious that God is watching you. God is with you and He is watching your ways because He loves you and He wants to bless you. He wants to manifest His covenant grace and blessings in your life. Righteousness and godly living will promote and uplift you just like it promoted and lifted people like Joseph and Daniel in the Bible.
Be very conscious of the fact that it is before God that you do 'everything' that you do. Heb.4:13 says that all creatures are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him before whom we must give account. Do everything you do as if you are doing it for God, even the things you do in your closet. Colossians 3:23 says that whatever you do, do it heartily as to the LORD and not unto men. Worship God with everything that you do.
PRAYER FOCUS: Dear Lord, I am conscious of Your eyes that are on me and Your presence that is with me. I will walk in your ways always.
