Deuteronomy 34:9, Proverbs 13:20 (GNB)
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. *Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined.

Who are your friends? What kind of people do you closely associate with? What kind of people and things are you allowing to impact and influence you? God can impart great wisdom to you through the right associations that can be tremendously beneficial to your life and destiny. Esther's association with Mordecai enabled her to maintain the right attitude becomes Queen and motivated her to take a risk that positively impacted the lives of God's people. Elisha's association with Elijah was the channel via which Elisha received a double portion of Elijah's anointing. Associations can even be made with positive role models via their books, tapes or other produced materials.
Your priority should be the impartation of wisdom and grace. Be willing to make whatever sacrifices are necessary in order to receive this impartation. Before Joshua received the mantle of leadership from Moses, he patiently sat under Moses' leadership as an apprentice and in time, he received a specific impartation of the Spirit of wisdom from Moses. There were even times that Moses and Joshua entered God's presence together and Joshua remained behind, Exo. 33:11. Be willing to humble yourself to listen, to learn, to practice and to take corrections when necessary. In the Good News Bible, Proverbs 10:17 says, people who listen when they are corrected will live, but those who will not admit that they are wrong are in danger. Also make it your desire for people who associate with you to become wiser in the things of God and wiser in a positive way. Desire to impart the wisdom that God has given you to others and to the next generation.
PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I receive your wisdom to be more deliberate about associating myself with people who embody Godly wisdom.
