Continually Submit Yourself to God

Genesis 45:7-8, 1Peter 5:6-7
And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. *Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

In our first text above, Joseph made a very profound statement. He described his ordeal at the hands of his brothers, his experience as a slave in Potiphar's house and his time in prison as part of God's divine plan and as his divine assignment that led to the saving of many lives in Egypt. He discerned God's hand in everything that was happening to him and remained yielded to God throughout the entire process. He knew that God was taking him somewhere.

Child of God, your ability to see God's hand orchestrating His divine will for your life through every situation and circumstance you face will cause you to be strong and to do exploits, no matter what you may be going through. Do not become so discouraged by your challenges that you lose faith in God and draw back your zeal and commitment to Him.

Ask God to open your eyes to what He is divinely working out in your situation and continue yielding to Him, trusting Him and doing His will. Donot become proud and do not let the devil manipulate you out of the great things that God has ordained as part of His purpose and plan for your life. The Bible instructs you to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. However, that instruction comes with a promise that He will exalt you in due time. Keep submitting to God and keep resisting the devil. Trust that God is up to something. Remain in God's love (Jude 1:21) and continually do His will. Remain strong in faith and keep walking in love. Do not grow weary.

PRAYER FOCUS:Ask God for the grace to see His Hand in what you are going through and thank Him that He is taking you somewhere. Receive grace to be strong in faith and to continually do God's will.

BIBLE IN A YEAR READING PLAN: PSALM 25,29,33,36,39
