The Confession of the Word.

Deacon Adekunle Adenuga

John 12:49-50 KJV
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Confession with the mouth brings possession. The confession of the Word is the confession of faith. The Word of faith is the Word of God. The confession of faith is based on the living Word. It is making ones boasting in the Lord and His Word. This confession is a confession of praise.

You must learn to use your mouth as Jesus Christ our Lord used His mouth. Jesus Christ confessed the will of the Father concerning Him. The marvelous words that He spoke were the Fathers Word. He continually confessed His Sonship and His mission in the world. You have to make it a point of decision and choice to always confess what the Father has declared concerning you.

Salvation comes when you confess and declare it. Romans 10:10 KJV 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Salvation is confirmed and realized by the confession of the mouth. Healing comes when you confess and declare it. Prosperity comes when you confess and declare it. Victory comes when you confess and declare it. Whatever you confess is what you get. Joel 3:10 KJV 10 : let the weak say, I am strong.

When a man becomes born of God, he is not expected to speak of himself. He that is born of God has the seed of God in him; therefore, the seed of God becomes the seed to sow. The seed of God is sowed by saying. The seed of God is the Word of God. We are to say the Word that has been put into us. God has put His Word into our hearts. That Word in our heart is the declaration of the mouth, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. God has given you His Word to say and speak.

The Word in you becomes a living Word in your mouth to accomplish whatever you desire to the glory of God. The Word filled with faith in your mouth is for saying. Gods Word was put into your mouth for saying. Isaiah 51:16. The spoken Word has the creative and life changing ability to bring things into existence and put things in divine perspective. The Word in the lips of faith can and will do all things.

Ezekiel 12:25,28 KJV
25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.
28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.

The Word in the lips of faith is a mighty thing. No word from God is void of power. With God, all things are possible for His Word is mighty.
All things were created through the spoken word. God spoke the heaven and the earth into existence by faith. There is no other way He could have done it than to speak the Word. The worlds were framed by the word of God by faith.

God declared openly and spoke out freely, and He set the universe on the course of goodness. Between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:31, the phrase and God said was recorded eleven times. Man was created by the spoken Word of God. Man was created in the image of God and according to His likeness. This image of God in man gave him the ability to speak things into existence.

Romans 4:17 KJV
17  (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Whatever you call that is what will answer to you. We call Abraham "father" not because he got God's attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn't that what we've always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, "I set you up as father of many peoples"? Abraham was first named "father" and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. Romans 4:17 MSG.

God called Abraham father, he believed and he became a father, according to the spoken word of the Lord. It is by the Word that God make something out of nothing. It is by the Word of God spoken by faith that you can create a beautiful life out an ugly one. The spoken Word filled with faith can and will turn every situation around for good.

With the faith-filled Word in your mouth, you can shine glorious light into your dark life. The Word filled with faith in your mouth can turn your sickness into healing. The Word filled with faith in your mouth can turn your poverty into prosperity. The Word filled with faith in your lips can turn your shame into honour and dignity. The Word filled with faith in your lips can turn your defeat into victory. Whatever you call by your mouth that is what will answer to you.

If you call health, the same will answer to you. If you call salvation, the same will answer to you. If you call life, the same will to you. If you call blessing, the same will answer to you. You call things when you confess the word of God.

The Same Spirit of Faith.

2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

You have working in you right now, the spirit of faith. All new creations in Christ have the same spirit of faith. Take a closer look; it says the same spirit of faith. We do not have different spirit of faith, it is the same faith  one faith, and it is the same spirit  one spirit. We all have the same spirit of faith. The same spirit of faith is put to work by believing and speaking. When you let the spirit of faith to work in you, you will not keep quiet from speaking the word of God. The working of the spirit of faith in you will put new songs in your mouth all the times. When the spirit of faith functions in you effectively, you will keep speaking and talking the word no matter the situations.

The spirit of faith works when the words of you mouth comes from the faith in your heart, and your words become the outcome of our faith. God will perform and accomplish only what you believe in your heart and say with your mouth. He watches over His Word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12. No word from God is void of power. With God, all things are possible for his Word is mighty. Luke 1:37. The Word is an accomplisher. He sent His Word and healed them. Consistent confession of the Word by faith will let the Word grow mightily and prevail over every mountains and situations. The spoken Word in the lips of faith will grow and multiply.

Colossians 1:13-14 WNT
13 It is God who has delivered us out of the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us into the Kingdom of His dearly-loved Son,
14 in whom we have our redemption--the forgiveness of our sins.
Our confession is founded on the reality of our redemption in Christ. Now, we are to keep confessing the reality of our redemption in Christ. We are to confess what the Father has done for us in Christ Jesus. That is a declarative statement concerning our place, our standing and liberty in Christ. All authority was given to Jesus and He gave the legal right to use His name. If the Word means what it says, then we have a standing with the Father, we have rights and privileges that we have to take advantage of. You must learn to confess what the Father has declared concerning you. You must learn to use your mouth as Jesus Christ our Lord used His mouth. Jesus Christ confessed the will of the Father concerning Him. The marvelous words that He spoke were the Fathers words. He continually confessed His Sonship and His mission in the world.

You see, you are to confess your righteousness consciousness. You are to confess your right standing with God in Christ. You are to act on the Word. The Word is a miracle worker. The Word is health. The Word is medicine to all of your flesh. The Word is your ability. The Word is your sufficiency. The Word is your light. The Word is your wisdom. When you know the Word, you will know who you are in Christ. When you know the Word, you will appreciate what you have in Christ and then take advantage of your rights and privileges in Christ. Get to know the Word; this is the secret to the abundant overflowing life in Christ.

Numbers 14:28 KJV
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

It is your confession that determines divine performance. You will never rise above the level of your confession. Your confession lines you up, gives you your place and establishes your position. Faith gives courage to confession, and confession gives boldness to faith. Your confession keeps you healed or sick. By your confession, you are saved or lost. By your confession, you are weak or strong. By your confession, you have abundance or lack. By your confession, you are victorious or defeated. You are what you confess with your lips, and what you believe in your heart.

Take A Cue From Jesus Christ.

Luke 18:31-34 KJV
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Jesus Christ our Lord is continually making confessions of His greatness, His ability, His love and His great Father heart. Jesus Christ knew who He was, what He has and what He must do. He knew His mission. He knew that for the Scriptures concerning Him to be fulfilled and accomplished, He has to confess the things that are written in the Scriptures that pertain to Him.

His confession drove Him to Jerusalem. His confession let Him be delivered to the Gentiles. He was mocked, scourged and spit on because He confessed it. He confessed His death and He died. He confessed His rising again from the dead, and yes, He rose from the dead. He was what He confessed. He received what He called. All things answered to Him because He used His mouth and called them forth.
Luke 9:22, [Jesus] saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Luke 9:44,45 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
Luke 18:31-34 KJV 31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
Jesus Christ our Lord consistently confessed His mission and He got what He confessed. Compare the following Scriptures: Matthew 16:21-23; 17:22-23; 20:17-19; Mark 8:31-33; 9:30-32; 10:32-34.

You cannot go above the level of your confession. Your confession is what you are. Confession is to declare openly by way of speaking out freely a deep conviction of facts; being identified in thought or language, and to confess by way of celebrating with praise. The Word in lips will change lives as they listen. It is the very life of God in those words.

James 3:10 KJV 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Your mouth will bless you and all things around and in you, if you let it speak forth blessing. You will live in good health, if you let your mouth speak froth health. Your life will prosper, if you let your mouth speak forth prosperity. Jesus called forth Lazarus from the grave, and he answered Him. When you call things with your mouth, they will answer. The wisdom of God proceeding out of your mouth will lifts you up above every onslaught of the enemy. Your mouth is an instrument of deliverance. Your mouth is an instrument of prosperity. Your mouth is an instrument of peace. Your mouth is an instrument of victory. It is with your mouth [words coming out of your lips] that you either justify or condemn yourself. You are the one who determines the fruits your mouth brings froth. Proverbs 12:5-6.

Proverbs 18:20-21 KJV A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You will live with the consequences of anything you say. Words are things. When you speak words, you bring things into existence. Watch what you say and speak. What you get in life is a product of your lips. Your mouth is a weapon of mass construction and destruction. The difference lies in how you use your mouth. If you fill your mouth with the Word and let it speak the Word freely, your mouth will build up your life and beautify it. Whereas you fill your mouth with the word of this world and lies of the devil, and you let it speak it freely, it will definitely destroy your life and make it miserable and desolate.

There is the power of the tongue. The power enables the tongue to bring forth the fruit. The fruit your tongue brings forth reveals what you love  your heart. If you love the Word of God (by laying up the Word of God in your heart and your soul, Deuteronomy 11:18), then your tongue (your mouth) will bring forth the fruit you love. If you love life, you will have the fruit of life. If you love blessing, you have the fruit of blessing. If you love healing and health, you will have the fruit of healing and health. If you love victory, you will have the fruit of victory. And it is the Word of God in your heart  the center of love- that enables your tongues to bring forth the fruit you love.
Proverbs 13:2-3 KJV 2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Your life can be filled with goodness through proper and scriptural usage of your mouth. Goodness is a product of a fruitful mouth. Wellness is a product of a fruitful mouth. When you make a quality decision to engage your lips constructively, it will bring every good and prosperous thing into your life. When you engage your mouth scripturally, preservation and safety becomes your possession.

Careless application of your mouth brings destruction and ruin. Unscriptural usage of your mouth will open the door of your life to the devil. Devil is a thief and destroyer and killer, hence when you open your door to him through the unscriptural usage of your mouth, he will steal, kill and destroy every thing that is good and beautiful in your life. Therefore, refuse to let the devil have a place in your life by engaging your tongue scripturally.

Goodly and proper usage of your mouth will produce preservation. Careless application of your mouth brings destruction and ruin.

Learn to engage your tongue for what it is meant for. Confess with your mouth what the Father God has wrought for you in Christ Jesus. Confess that you are delivered from the power, or authority of darkness. You have been delivered from the authority of Satan. He has no right to dominate you. You are his master in Christ. Confess that you are now in the kingdom of the Son of Gods love. Confess your redemption through His blood. Confess you are blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Confess the lordship of Jesus Christ. Confess the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit inside of you. Confess the greatness of the God that is inside of you. Greater is He that is in me that he that is in the world. Remember Jesus Christ is the High Priest of your confession, hence hold fast and retain your confession of who you are in Christ and what you have in Him and who you are in Him.

Refuse to let the Word depart from your mouth. Refuse to stop confessing the Word, to stop confessing the Word is to stop the flow of victory. The Word of our testimony is the Word of God. Through it, we remain overcomers. The Word is the weapon of overcoming and the weapon for overcomers. Chart a good course for your life by applying your mouth to the Word. Beautify your life by letting your mouth speak the right words. Find the Word and eat it. It is medicine to all your flesh and health to your bones.

Proverbs 10:11,19 KJV 11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Enjoy the sweetness of the well of life through the appropriate use of your mouth. The choice is yours!
