Calling on the Name of the Lord |
|
Romans 10:10-13, Revelation 19:13 (NIV)For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. *He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Our 2nd text above confirms that the name of Jesus is the Word of God. So whenever we declare the Word of God or make a declaration based on our revelation of His Word, we are calling on the name of the Lord and He will answer by manifesting His power in our lives and situations. In Acts 3:1-8, Peter did not pray unto God to heal the lame man by the gate of the temple. He spoke to the man's condition in the name of Jesus and the man was immediately healed.
In Acts 14:8-10, Apostle Paul did not pray and ask God to make the lame man arise and walk; he commanded the man to stand upright on his feet and the man leaped up and walked. Even though Apostle Paul did not mention the name of Jesus, he made the declaration by faith in the name and authority of Jesus. Jesus wants us to have His faith in us. He wants us to speak His Word to mountains of all kinds and expect them to be removed and swallowed up in the same way that He would, Mark 11:22-23
PRAYER FOCUS : Thank God for the power in the authority of Christ. Begin to speak to your life and situations in the name of Christ.
