Luke 5:1-3
And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, and saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

The verse that follows our text above says, now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. After Jesus finished speaking to the people, He began to give Peter instructions so that Peter would receive what He had in store for him. Jesus did not just have material blessings in store for Peter. Jesus also had a divine call and assignment for him. By the leading of Jesus, Peter experienced exploits in His business and Jesus also called him and used him for exploits in the kingdom of God. Today, rejoice that Jesus is in your life, family and all you are engaged in and release yourself for Him to lead you and have His way in your life. This year, you will experience unexpected exploits in every area of your life.
PRAYER FOCUS: I rejoice that you are in my life, Lord Jesus, and I release myself to You, dear Lord. Lead me and have Your way in my life.
