Acts 13:22, Psalm 89:20-21
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. *I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

Godly leadership is desperately needed in our world today. Proverbs 29:2 says, when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 14:34 says, righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. The cure for the majority of the sorrow and destruction taking place in many lives, families, organizations, societies and nations is in the rise of more godly leaders. Everyday, God Himself is on the lookout for men and women like David who long after His own heart that He can anoint with His holy oil and set in various positions of leadership and influence to bring great rejoicing and promotion to the lives of people. As we pray for more godly leaders to arise in the world, we must also strive to be godly leaders ourselves.
One thing that distinguishes a godly leader is their level of integrity. In describing David's leadership over Israel, the Bible says in Psalm 78:72 that David fed them with the integrity of his heart and he guided them by the skillfulness of his hands. Integrity preserves and promotes you in life. People of integrity love righteousness with a passion and they hate iniquity and everything evil with a passion. This attitude will attract God's oil of gladness that will lift you up above your peers, Heb.1:9. Integrity will give you a good conscience and build your confidence. In Christ, you have the power to say no to ungodliness, Titus 2:11-14. Follow your godly conscience. Remain loyal to the truth and what is right always. God will strengthen you. Your present commitment to a life of integrity is building you up to be a godly leader. Don't give up.
PRAYER: Pray for more leaders with integrity to arise in the world and pray for God to increase your level of integrity.
