The Assurance of The Word Integrity.
By
Deacon Adekunle Adenuga
God Cannot Lie.
Integrity means reliability and authenticity and reality. The Word of God is reliable, pure and real. Whatever the Word says God is He is. Whatever the Word says you are you are. Whatever the Word says you have you have. Whatever the Word says you can do you can do. God cannot lie. He is not a man that HE should lie. Let God be true and all men liars.
Numbers 23:19 KJV
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
God cannot lie. It is impossible for God lie, for He is the true and faithful, unchangeable God. His Word is the truth. Whatever God says He is going to do, He will do. He is God, and there is none else, there is none like Him. When you understand and know that God cannot lie, your faith will be built up, because you will dare to take God at His Word. You will utterly trust in His Word. When you know that by His stripes you were and are healed, and dare to take Him at His Word, you know that you are healed. You know He is your Healer because He says I am the LORD your God that heals you.
To know that God cannot lie is a buckler for faith. Faith becomes strong in the face of the faithfulness of God to His Word. Whatever He said, He will do. Whatever He has spoken, He will make it good. He is God. God cut a covenant with Abraham to show him that He cannot break His Word. God guaranteed His promises to Abraham by cutting a blood covenant with him. As far as God is concerned according to the covenant, for Him to break His Word with Abraham, He has to destroy His throne, in other word; He will cease to be God. But He is the eternal God, He cannot break His Word. Malachi 3:6, For I am the LORD, I change not He is the LORD, He cannot change neither He will repent concerning the Word that gone out of His mouth.
Psalms 89:34-35 KJV
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
God says I will not break My covenant. He cannot violate His Word. As He said, HE will do it. He will not alter and change and repent concerning the thing {word} that is gone out of His lips. He eternally watches over His Word to perform it. He is God that whenever He speaks, it will be accomplished. Whatever He commanded shall stand forever. When you remain faithful to Gods Word, you are sure to see and experience His faithfulness in every area of your life. God requires that you pattern and live your life according to His Word. That is living by faith in God. Psalm 33:9-12.
2 Timothy 2:11-13 KJV
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Gods Word is a faithful, unchangeable saying. Whenever the Word is released, it runs swiftly and speedily to accomplish the purpose for which it is sent. You are to believe the Word of God. Have faith in Gods Word. God is faithful to His Word. He cannot deny and disagree with His Word. God and His Word is one. God is faithful therefore His Word is faithful and unchangeable. Gods faithfulness is the source of consistent and ever-increasing faith. Faith walk is possible by being conscious of Gods faithfulness. 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
1Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is faithful, so as long as you walk in the light of His Word, you remain connected to Him in fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord. You have been called unto the fellowship and communion and partnership of His Son Jesus Christ. You are partner together with Him and Jesus Christ. As you stay on the Word, you become partaker of His grace and sufficiency. All things become yours for all things are His. Faithfulness to the Word guarantees the delivery of the heavens goodness.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
You must come to the position of knowing that God is faithful. It is having a complete knowing and full assurance that God will keep His covenant and mercy with them that love and reverence Him and keep and obey His commandments to a thousand generations.
Experiencing Gods faithfulness means that you have to love and reverence him. It means you must trust Him absolutely and completely. Gods faithfulness is revealed in them that are faithful and steadfast to His commandments. Obedience to Gods Word secures divine faithfulness. It is required of you to be faithful if you will take hold Gods blessings.
1Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Because He is faithful, He will also do it. Gods faithfulness and unchangeableness binds Him to accomplish and perform whatever has gone out of His mouth. If He has called, then His faithfulness assures and secures His performance. However, He demands your faithful and steadfastness to His Word and to His faithfulness. You have been called the faithful, because you have the ability to be faithful to God and His Word. You have been called to be faithful to God and His Word, so you are to stand firm on His promises. Though, if you are faithless, He remains faithful because He cannot lie nor change. God is ever faithful! God is ever faithful! Great is His faithfulness!
The Immutability of His Word.
Hebrews 6:17-18 KJV
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Gods Word cannot be change. The Word of God is unchangeable. God Himself cannot change His Word, because for Him to change His Word He has to change Himself. However, God cannot change because He is the Lord. Malachi 3:6 says, for I am the LORD, I do not change; The holiness of God forbids Him to change His Word or to repent concerning the Word that has gone out of His mouth. GOD is immutable. He cannot change. What He was yesterday, He is today and He will be tomorrow and forever. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Word that He spoken yesterday is the same Word He is saying today. The same Word He will say tomorrow and forever. His Word is forever settled in heaven. You cannot add to the Word of God nor can you take away from the Word. It is the eternal, unchangeable Word of the eternal, unchangeable God. Psalm 119:89.
James 1:17 KJV
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Gods Word is settled, determined, fixed, sure, and immovable. God has no variableness in Him. He is not unpredictable. He is easily predicted. What He says He will do, He will do. He is faithful forever. He cannot lie. His Word cannot lie. He cannot fail. His Word cannot fail. God cannot break His Word, because for Him to break His Word, He will have to cease to be God. However, He is the everlasting God therefore, His Word cannot be broken.
Psalms 89:35 KJV
Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. God by His holiness cannot lie. God by His holiness cannot alter His Word. He is well able to bring to pass every word that comes out His mouth.
God showed the unchangeableness of His promises when He sworn by Himself to Abraham to bless and multiply him. I can say that God, in order to guarantee His promises, He put His life on line. In other word, I guarantee My promises to you by Myself. His Word is backed by rock-solid guarantee. God cannot break His Word. And because His Word cannot change, the promise likewise is unchangeable. Therefore, we who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.
Every Word of God has the inherent ability to bring forth its results. No Word of God can be voided or nullified. No Word of God is permitted to fail. Every Word of God sent forth must prosper in the thing for which it is sent.
Joshua 21:45 KJV
45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
Joshua 23:14 KJV
14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
Gods Word cannot fail. Gods Word lacked the ability to fail. It is the faithful Word of the faithful God. God cannot lie. It is impossible for God to lie. It is impossible for God to deceive. It is impossible for God to be false. The understanding of the faithfulness and immutability of God and His Word will make your faith a rock-solid.
The understanding of the faithfulness and immutability of God and His Word will make you immovable and fixed and settled in God through Christ. Even if you are faithless concerning the Word of God, God cannot deny Himself, He remains faithful to His Word.
The remembrance of Gods faithfulness ought to boost our faithfulness to His Word. The only thing that is required of you to experience and enjoys Gods faithfulness is that you be faithful to His Word. Have the God-kind of faith that is being faithful to His Word and nature.
Gods Faithfulness is Forever Sure.
Psalms 78:37-38 KJV
37 For their heart was not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant.
38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
Gods faithfulness is always and eternally sure. Even in the life of the children of Israel, God proved beyond every doubt that He is faithful and there is no end to His faithfulness. Though, God desires that you trusted in His faithfulness in order for Him to make known His faithfulness in your life, yet if you do not trust Him, it is not going to change Him to deny His Word.
God is always on the look out for those whose are perfect [loyal, dedicated, consecrated] toward Him, so He can show Himself strong on their behalf. He is looking for the hearts that are faithful and dedicated too His Word, so He can perform His Word and promises in them.
Gods faithfulness is our greatest asset in time of trials and for all times. Gods faithfulness assured us that He would never change no matter what. His faithfulness ought to give us the confidence that even when we are passing through fire and water He will be right there with us. Because He has promised to be with us forever, irrespective of what is happening to us. He is always with us. He is good all the time.
Deuteronomy 31:6,8 KJV
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Gods faithfulness will see to it that God does not leave nor fail nor forsake you. He cannot do that to you. The only requirement is that you do not leave or forsake him. As long as you stay with Him, He is always there with you. He is THE FAITHFUL God. You just be faithful to His Word. Remain with His Word. Trust His Word. Remain faithful to His Promises. He is God, the faithful God that keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. Gods responsibility is His faithfulness, yours is to love and keep, obey and abide in His commandments.
Romans 8:35-39 KJV
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ as long as we do not remove ourselves from His love. As long as you keep and obey His Word, you abide and remain in His Word. That is how to enjoy the faithfulness of God. No matter what, He is faithful to you, as you remain faithful to His Word. Praise God!
