THE FAITH BANQUET - THE BELIEVER'S LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS (9)

The Who You Are In Christ.

Galatians 2:20 MSG
(20) Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Identity is destiny. The knowledge of your identity is what guarantees the establishment of your destiny. The lack of knowledge and understanding of your identity in Christ will culminates in defeated, colourless and frustrated life. Therefore, it is needful for us to find out and connect to our identity in Christ. You are a unique being in Christ. You are born again to regain your dignity and honour and blessing. You are a person of godlike character and a partaker of divine nature. Our ABBA Father does expect us to live and walk and talk according to our character and personality in Christ. in this study, we shall be looking and beholding some aspects of our identity in Christ Jesus. Identity is strength. Refuse to struggle and be frustrated in life. Know who you are in Christ, it is secret to your victorious and prosperous life in the kingdom of God.

A New Creation – Every born again person is a new creation in Christ. When a man is saved, he comes into Christ Jesus. Now, if any man comes into Christ, he is a new creation. He becomes a new kind of specie. He becomes a creation that has never existed before. 2 Corinthians 5: 17-19. In the mind of God, he has never existed before. He is a new creation existing for the first time in eternity. He is just as much as Adam when he was created before the fall. For a new creation, old things have passed away. What are the old things?

Ephesians 2:1-3, 11-12 KJV
(1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
(2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
(3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
(11) Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
(12) That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

The old things are of the old man – the sin nature, the old nature, and the nature of Satan, which is spiritual death – it is walking according to the course of this world. This old man was patterned and conformed in line with the systems of this age. He was the natural man. He was under the dominion of the power of darkness, the kingdom of Satan.
But through the redemption in Christ, he was made the righteousness of God in Christ. He became totally and completely a new creation with the nature and the fulness of the life of God imparted to his spirit through the Word of God and the SPIRIT of God. All the new things in this man are of God, nothing is of the devil in him. He is a child of God. Jesus said to His disciples ‘for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me’. So for this new man in Christ, Satan has nothing in him. He is born of God and the seed of God is in him.
