Grace to Not Faint |
|
Galatians 6:9, 2Corinthians 4:16
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. *For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. *For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
It is important to also remember that if a temptation is beyond you, God will not allow it to come your way. Be assured that God will always make a way of escape so that you can bear any temptation He allows to come your way, 1Cor.10:13. Doing things that renew your inner man, such as prayer (Luke 18:1) and meditating on the Word of God (1John 2:14) will serve to keep you from fainting. Proverbs 24:5 says that a man of knowledge increases strength. As such, you should be passionate about increasing in knowledge; both the knowledge of God and relevant knowledge for various areas of your life. Consistently receive and apply this knowledge to your life.
One reason people become weary in well doing is because they allow the distractions and discouragement that come their way to cause them to lose sight of the hope, joy and rewards that are ahead of them. You must allow the promises of God that you are seeing with the eyes of your heart to be clearer than what you are seeing with your physical eyes. Do not lose your courage and hope. Do not give up, child of God. Be patient and hold on to God, His love and His promises. You will not faint. You will overcome.
PRAYER FOCUS: Dear Father, I pray for grace today to not faint in the day of adversity. Fill me with hope and strengthen my inner man.
