God's Divine Strength
FRIDAY
JUL. 22

 1 Kings 19:4, 7-8 (NIV)
While he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, Lord," ... "Take my life; …" *The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you." So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

Author PhotoElijah was greatly discouraged by the unexpected threat that he received from Jezebel immediately after carrying out a major assignment for God. He wanted to end it all, but God was not yet through with Him. Instead, Elijah received a divine visitation via which he received strength for a long journey; to a place where He was going to encounter God again.

Be watchful immediately after you experience a great victory. In case you ever feel discouraged by some unexpected negative experience or circumstance, remain assured that God is waiting by your side to give you a divine touch that will strengthen you to press forward unto the greater things He has in store for you.

No other source of encouragement and strength can parallel the encouragement and strength that God gives us in His presence. God doesn't want to give us this strength only in our trying times, He wants to love us and fill us with this strength every single day. You can receive yours even right now. Many times, the journey before you will be long and seem beyond you, but the strength of God will see you through. God will strengthen you with might by His Spirit in your inner man, Eph.3:16. From your inner man, unbelievable strength will flow out into every area of your life. God is not through with you yet. You will not end your race with frustration. You will end your race with joy. You will finish strong.

PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I ask for your divine touch and strength upon my life right now. Give me the grace to hold on to you and to forge ahead to my next level in life.
