Luke 19:13, 15-16
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. *And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

One of the reasons why the master in our text above expected a profitable account from his servants was because he understood the power and value of the pound. He had confidence in the power of what he had given to them and he knew that they could use it to occupy till he came. When the servants gave their accounts to the master, they all used the phrase "thy pound" in acknowledgement of the fact that the master owned the resource that had been given to them. Child of God, how do you view every ability, resource, opportunity and responsibility that God has given to you? Do you view it as your own or as His? All these things are God's pound that He has given to you to occupy till Christ comes and they are powerful enough to enable you to do so.Today, change your perspective of everything God has placed in your hands. Choose to invest them and confidently make good use of them to occupy till Christ comes. As you change your perspective on all that God has given you, you will also see His power manifesting through those things. God has asked you to occupy till He comes because He has confidence in what He has given you. Nothing that you have will be ordinary or powerless anymore. It will be supernatural and powerful because it is God's own. With it you will be fruitful, you will multiply and you will have dominion. You will occupy until Christ comes. You have what it takes because what you have is from God.
PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I thank you that everything I have is Yours and that it is powerful enough for me to occupy till Christ comes.
