The God That Rewrites History

   WEDNESDAY
       SEPT. 21

Genesis 12:2
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

Author PhotoGod is still in the business of rewriting the histories of men and women. As God called Abraham out from his father's house, blessed him and made him great, God will do the same for you as you keep believing and following Him. Because God is in covenant with you through Jesus Christ, you will experience His covenant blessings and promises that will cause you to stand out from your peers and those in your natural lineage. You will do the impossible. When God gives you a promise, He will quicken even what is dead and call things that be not as though they were, Rom.4:17. Nothing will stop God's promise from manifesting in your life. My beloved husband, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, was a little sickly child and he was once left for dead in a rubbish heap. But God revived him, took him, saved him and lifted him up. God put fire in his bones and used him to turn the world around for His glory.

That same God can rewrite your history because he is the Almighty God; the same yesterday, today and forever, always doing wonders. The Bible is full of stories of how God rewrote the histories of people. God rewrote Rahab's history. She was a prostitute in the land of Jericho but she found favour in the sight of God and she did not perish with the unbelievers that were around he (Heb.11:31). In fact, she became part of the lineage of Jesus Christ. God is still rewriting the histories of people that men may have written off. Abraham did not know where God was taking Him, but in faith he went and God did not let him down. What God has in store for you exceeds what the eyes of men have seen, the ears of men have heard and the minds of men have imagined (1Cor.2:9). Keep following God in faith. The story of your life will shock the world.

PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I yield myself to you and to your purpose and will for my life. Use me mightily as I follow you by faith.
