Acts 8:4-8
The believers who were scattered went everywhere, preaching the message. Philip went to the principal city in Samaria and preached the Messiah to the people there. The crowds paid close attention to what Philip said, as they listened to him and saw the miracles that he performed. Evil spirits came out from many people with a loud cry, and many paralyzed and lame people were healed. So there was great joy in that city.

Evil spirits came out from many people with a loud cry, and many paralyzed and lame people were healed. So there was great joy in that city.
As we see in the last verse of our text above, the great joy of many lives, cities and nations is dependent on our preaching of the gospel and the manifestation of the life and power of God in those lives, cities and nations. So many lives need the truth that will set them free to experience God's miraculous healing and transformative power. So many lives need to be liberated from the bondage and oppression of the devil. They are waiting for you.As God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38), He has also anointed us with the Holy Ghost and power and expects us to do the same. As you go out preaching the gospel, God works with you and promises to confirm His Word with signs and wonders following, Mark 16:20.
You are anointed to preach the good news, to bind up the broken hearted, to liberate the captives, to exchange beauty for ashes, to replace mourning with the oil of joy, to replace their spirit of heaviness with a garment of praise, and to establish them in God's righteousness, Isa.61:1-3. In John 4:35 Jesus urged us to lift our eyes to see the fields that are ripe and ready for harvest. With great urgency, we need to continue to boldly step forth to bless our environment and nation with the gospel of Christ.
PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God for blessing and anointing you with His Spirit and His power. Pray for God to touch, bless and transform many lives through you as you go out to preach the gospel.
