Media and entertainment are very powerful tools that influence and shape the mindsets and thinking patterns of people. Just like politics, media and entertainment are not in and of themselves “dirty” professions. However, the enemy has corrupted these forums and is using them to deceive people into calling evil good and good evil, Isa.5:20. With them, the devil is spreading so much evil, immorality and injustice into the minds of many people daily. In Mark 6:22-28, Herodias used her daughter to entertain Herod with a dance after which she influenced Herod to kill John
the Baptist. Many are still using media and entertainment to negatively influence others today.

Yes, we must pray for media and entertainment to become “clean,” but God has empowered some of His children to infiltrate the field; not to compete, but to shine His light over. If media and entertainment are going to promote content that are good, praise worthy, true, noble, right, pure, lovely and honorable, then more of God's children need to possess the media and entertainment world.

More of God's children need to study the fields of Journalism and Mass Communication, own radio, TV and newspaper companies and invest resources so that they can partner together to develop positive media and entertainment content. We also need to be more intentional about spreading the gospel through every medium possible; from television, to radio, to print media, to adverts, and even to social media. By the power and creativity of God's Spirit, more believers will occupy and dominate in the media and entertainment world.

PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that more believers will deliberately enter the media and entertainment fields to occupy and dominate for Christ.
