You Are God's Holy Temple

1Corinthians 6:19-20 (GNB), Ephesians 1:4 (GNB)
Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory. *Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God will never ask us to do something He has not empowered us to do. In Christ, you are a new creature and God has empowered you to live a holy and righteous life, separated from the iniquities of the world. When Apostle Paul was informed of believers living in sin, he often questioned their knowledge of their bodies as the temple of God and a space where the Spirit resides. If you remain
conscious of this fact, you too will yield yourself to God and His righteousness and holiness will find expression in you.

Your deep consciousness of the new life God has given you in Christ and your consciousness of God's presence that dwells in you will give you victory over sin. You are not trying to be holy. God has made you holy like Himself and that is why He wants you to live a holy life, 1Pet.1:16. In reverence for Him, God wants you to perfect His holiness that is in you, 2Cor.7:1. Practice makes perfect, so practice your holiness. Live it out, yield to God and do His will because the reality is that you likely won't practice what you don't believe you can achieve.

You are joined to Christ and you are one spirit with Him, 1Cor.6:17. You are His Body. The old things have passed away. Fill yourself with this truth and meditate on it over and over again until you know it deep down within you that God dwells in you and that you are holy. The more you see these truths, the less you will struggle with sin and iniquity. You will have strength to yield yourself to God and you will live the holy and righteous life that God has called you to live.

FAITH DECLARATION: I am God's holy temple. I am holy. I have God's life in me and God's Holy Spirit resides in me. I belong to God.
