Grace to be Fervent & Diligent

Rom.12:10-12 
 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.

To be fervent is to be zealous and passionate and to be diligent is to be persistent in doing the right thing in the right way. God wants us to be fervent in our love for Him and also in our love for one another. 1Peter 4:7-8 says, but the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Always have a heart of service and be willing to honour and be a blessing to others. When the love of God is driving everything that we do, there is no way that our lives will be slothful and cold. People will sense a strange zeal and fire in us that will amaze them.

Do not allow anything that your hand is engaged in to suffer. God will bless the works of your hand; so be diligent in your business or work. Child of God, God will not forget your labour of love, Heb.6:10. He will remember and reward you abundantly. Do not grow weary in doing good; in due season you will reap if you refuse to faint, Gal.6:10. Decide to remain fervent.

Maintaining hope causes us to be fervent and diligent. There is a great hope laid up before you. Your fervent love and diligent service will not be in vain. Rejoice in this hope. You also need to be patient. Trying times are going to come but your fervency and diligence will help you to break through those trying times. Continue to be fervent and diligent in your prayers also. The Spirit and the grace of God will keep you revived and refreshed and make you victorious and successful.

PRAYER  FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I receive your grace today to be fervent and diligent in every area of my life.
