Seeking and Saving the Lost 3

FRIDAY FEB. 3

 Acts 26:16 & 18 (GNB)
But get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant. You are to tell others what you have seen of me today and what I will show you in the future. *You are to open their eyes and turn them from the darkness to the light and from the power of Satan to God, so that through their faith in me they will have their sins forgiven and receive their place among God's chosen people.

So many people do not realize that they are in need of salvation. Many are ignorant of the fact that they are bound and heading for destruction. Others are unaware of God's relentless love for them. So many people do not know that it is possible for them to be saved and delivered form the bondage and affliction that the devil has placed them under. There are those that do not know that God can forgive them and set them free from sin. Many others are unaware that God can heal them and make them whole again. So many people do not know all that God has done through Jesus Christ to save, deliver and bless them.

This is why God wants to use you and me to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and to turn them from the power of Satan to the power of God. He wants to use us to turn their hearts to Jesus so that their sins will be forgiven, so they will be set free, healed and delivered and so they will receive the position and inheritance that God has prepared for His children. Like we see in our text above, the receiving of these manifestations of God's saving power and blessings is dependent on the opening of their eyes. 2Cor. 4:3-4 says, but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Through your prayers and your preaching of the gospel, God will open their eyes and He will save and bless them. Remember that like Apostle Paul you are a minister and a witness for Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to use you to open the eyes of those that the devil has bound so that they can be saved, set free and blessed today.
