Jennifer Hudson reveals why she never worries: 'God always has something greater in store!'
Academy award-winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, who shot to fame after she placed seventh in the singing competition "American Idol" Season 3, is trying to keep up her level of optimism by casting all of her fears and worries to God.
On her Instagram account (@iamjhud), Hudson shared a photo collage then revealed the reason why she never worries in life. "God always [has] something greater in store! I know [because] I've seen Him work [too] many times not to be able to recognize it this time around! For those who don't believe, I just say [that] they will understand it better by and by! And God always got somebody when others just won't due."
Hudson has had her fair share of heartbreak and challenges in life. Back in October 2008, her mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson, and nephew Julian King were all slain by William Balfour, who is now serving three consecutive life sentences.
With God's help and her family's strong support system, Hudson was able to move past the tragic incident. Now, Hudson is smiling wide as her nephew was honoured by the city of Chicago on Friday as it unveiled a street sign named after him.
The street sign for Honorary Julian D. King Way was erected at 44th Street and Sacramento, according to E! News. It was placed near Julian's former school, Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy in the Windy City neighbourhood, Brighton Park.
"Julian was beautiful and how you know that is when you can see how someone can still impact your life in their absence," Hudson said through tears during the special event. "Julian was only seven years old, but in those seven years, he lived a life and he left an imprint on all of us."
