CGMG ABOVE ONLY - Christ Has Made You Righteous

Christ Has Made You Righteous

MONDAY
MAR. 27

 Ephesians 2:8-9 (GNB), 2Corinthiasn 5:21 (KJV & GNB)
For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it. *For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. *Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.

Author PhotoNo man or woman can deal with sin on his or her own. This is why God sent Jesus to deal with our sins once and for all. Until you understand what Jesus has done for you to permanently deal with sin, you will continue to struggle in your effort to overcome sin. But when you receive the revelation knowledge of what God has done for you to permanently deal with sin and make you God's righteousness, you will live victoriously over sin. As Jesus died, was buried and rose up for you, He completely defeated Satan and destroyed the power of sin from your life. Jesus came to take away your sin and He succeeded. If He took it away, it no longer exists in you. You are now permanently free from sin, Rom.6:7.

You are also free from the power and the consequences of sin. That is why Jesus declared, “finished!” The devil has lost the battle in your life. On the Cross, Jesus took away your sin and He changed your nature. He destroyed your old nature and gave His new nature. This nature of Christ that you now have is superior to the one you previously had that was subject to sin. Unbelievers sin because that is their nature. Believers live right because righteousness is their nature. The reason why you were a sinner in the past was because of the nature of sin that was in you but because you now believe in Jesus, that nature has been forever changed. You are no more a sinner. You are dead to sin and alive to Christ, Rom.6:1-4. You are now a righteous child of God, just like Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS:
Thank God for His grace that compelled Christ to take away your sin and change your nature. Thank God for making you His righteousness.
