Genesis 41:38-41And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

To be indispensable is to be so valuable that people cannot do without you. Have you noticed that the things that the Bible compares us to are often things that the world cannot do without? For example, Jesus described us as salt and light. How do you feel when there is no salt in your food? Or when there is no electricity around you? That is the same way people should feel in your absence. People should recognize that there is something special and unique about you.

For example, in Daniel 4:18 and Daniel 5:10, various people testified that Daniel could do what others could not because of the Spirit of God that resided in him. That should be your testimony also. Child of God, to be indispensable, you have to be responsible. Do not arrive late to work, conduct your work shabbily or leave before the end of your work day. Avoid providing mediocre products and services and refrain from disrespecting your customers. Be the best in all that you do. Be diligent, be excellent and be creative. Stand out in a positive way. Do what you do with a positive difference. You have the Spirit of God inside you. Be productive. Develop and invest in yourself.

Being indispensable will increase your sphere of influence. It will cause you to be sought after. You cannot be sought after if you are devoid of worth, value or solutions. Joseph was so indispensable that his tribe, age or gender did not matter. All that mattered was that he could deliver. It is time for believers to start being the most indispensable people in their fields and spheres of influence.

PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I receive your grace right now to be the most excellent, productive and diligent person in what I do.
