Who are you Feeding and Listening to? |

Romans 8:12-14 (NIV), Galatians 5:16 & 25
Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation — but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. *This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. *If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
You do not owe the lusts of your flesh anything. The only thing that the lusts of your flesh deserve is to be starved to death. If you don't kill your lusts, they will kill you. They will disconnect you from the life and power of God and they will corrupt and destroy you. By the Spirit of God, you can starve the lusts of your flesh to death. You can say no and run away from them. In the NIV Titus 2:11-12 says, “for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.” The more you feed, listen and follow the leading of your spirit, the more you will be able to walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lusts of your flesh, Gal.5:16.
PRAYER FOCUS: Receive God's grace to keep feeding and listening to your spirit and to keep starving the lusts of your flesh to death.
