Living From the Inside |

Philippians 4:12-13, 1John 2:27 (NIV)
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. *As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things…

In our first text above, Apostle Paul declared that his countenance and status at any given point in time was not determined by his emotions or external circumstances. Rather, how he felt or behaved at any given point in time was the result of God's leading which resulted from the anointing or power of Christ that resided in him. His emotions and/or circumstances were not what instructed him. It was the Spirit of God in him that instructed him on how to behave in every situation he found himself. He maintained a Spirit-led internal governing system.
This must have been why, even from prison, Apostle Paul penned letters to believers that spoke of his freedom to rejoice in the Lord and to be strong in the Lord. This must have been why, even after he and Silas were arrested, severely beaten, chained and thrown in prison, they were not weighed down by what they were passing through. Instead, they prayed and sang praises unto God as they would normally have done. Even after they were delivered, they did not attempt to immediately escape the prison, Acts 16:23-28.
Where do you get the direction and leading for your life from? Is it from your inside? Is it from the anointing of the Spirit of God that is in you? No matter your external condition, you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. You will know what to do and have the strength to do it. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, Rom.8:14. Stop leading your life by the dictates of your flesh or your condition and circumstances. Lead your life by the dictates of the Spirit of God that is in you.
FAITH DECLARATION: I do not lead my life by my emotions or my external conditions. I live by the leading of God's Spirit in me.
