After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. *But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Following His resurrection, Jesus was intentional about only showing Himself to His disciples. He gave them “convincing proofs” of his resurrection and then commissioned them to “be” His witnesses. Their very presence, as they moved throughout the world, amounted to a witness of His character and of the good news. Their very presence, their mere “being,” was a reflection of His power to save and of His love to heal. This is the same commission that Jesus has given you and me because we are also His disciples. It is not enough to simply believe that Jesus is alive; God also wants our lives to amount to living, “convincing proof” that Jesus is alive so that we can continue His mission on earth. We are His witnesses and we are His ambassadors and greater things than these shall [you] do, because I am going to the Father,” John 14:12(NIV), 2Cor.5:20. We can do what Jesus can do. According to Ephesians 5:30, we are the bone of His bones and the flesh of His flesh.As Jesus is, so are we in this world, 1John 4:17b. God the Father loves us the same way He loves Jesus and Jesus has sent us into the world the same way the Father sent Him, John 17:18&23. Beloved, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater.” He went to the Father so that the Holy Spirit can come to us (John 16:7). By the Spirit of God that is in you, you have the ability to be an effective ambassador of Christ and living proof that Jesus is alive. Men and women will see Christ in you and they will feel His love, His touch and His power by your mere “being.” Because of you, people will believe that Jesus is alive and you will do great exploits.
FAITH DECLARATION : By the power of the Holy Spirit, I am an ambassador of Christ and I am living proof that Jesus is alive.
