They That Know Their God |

Daniel 11:32, Proverbs 24:5&10 (NKJV)
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. *A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. *If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small

Your disposition in times of difficulty, trials and temptation reflect the extent of your knowledge and understanding of God. Your ability to remain strong in faith when you are faced with a threatening situation is dependent on your knowledge that God can handle that situation and as such, you do not need to be afraid. So, when others are fainting or losing heart because of that same situation, you will be strong and activate God's grace and power in that very situation by calling upon His Name or speaking directly by faith to the situation.
You will deem that situation an opportunity for God to manifest His Name or character to you in that area of your life. You won't be moved because you acknowledge God as the Lord over that situation. Psalm 91:14-16 (GNB) says, "I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as LORD. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them. I will reward them with long life; I will save them."
This is precisely why Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego could stand strong for God before King Nebuchadnezzar's threat against their lives, Dan.3:16- 18. They knew their God and so they were strong and did not faint in the face of that adversity. You will be strong in the face of adversity. When the evil day comes, you will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, Eph.6:10-13. Today, the grace to grow in your faith and knowledge of God is upon you.
PRAYER FOCUS: Tell God your Father that you know He is Lord over every situation in your life. Declare in faith that by the grace of God you will remain strong and do exploits even in the face of adversity.
