As Far As Your Eyes Can See |

Genesis 13:14-15
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

Often times when the Bible references lifting up your eyes, it is referring to seeing beyond the natural; seeing with your spiritual eyes or with the eyes of faith. What do you see, child of God?What do you see God doing in your life and situation or doing through you? God wants us to see what He is saying to us, Hab.2:1. In Ephesians 1:17-20, it is evident that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is tied to the opening of our spiritual eyes. The opening of our spiritual eyes also causes us to appreciate God's high calling and purpose for our lives and the glorious riches and inheritance He has placed on the inside of us.
The word of God is the greatest instrument that God uses to open our eyes. As you continually fill yourself with God's Word, your spiritual eyes get flooded with light. God begins to open and reveal secrets and mysteries to you. Your consciousness and your perspective of things begin to change. You begin to see things as God sees them. Your faith is built up. You are able to lift up your eyes and see what God is saying concerning you.
God's Word becomes more real to you. When the Syrian army surrounded Elisha and Gehazi, both of them responded to the situation differently because both of them were seeing differently. Elisha had to pray for God to open Gehazi's eyes to see the way God was seeing, 2Kings 6:15-18. Keep filling yourself with God's Word and keep praying like Apostle Paul prayed in Acts 1:17-20 for your spiritual eyes to be opened.
PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to open your spiritual eyes as you fill yourself with His Word. Pray that you begin to see as God sees
