The Purpose of Marriage
Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.Proverbs 5:18 (NLT)
The first institution to be established by God is the marriage relationship. This permanent relationship involved the joining of one complete man with a complete woman to become one flesh.
Marriage is significant to God because it is part of His ordained plan to provide the world with a prototype of the love He has for mankind. As established by God, marriage is a covenant. It is not a contract that we can do away with any time.
The marriage covenant is a comprehensive and permanent commitment. God created this covenant to provide believers with a picture of Christ’s love and relationship to His church. That is the divine purpose of marriage

Make it your desire to fulfil God’s purpose in your life and marriage.
