God's Promises for Your Marriage

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5 (ESV)

God wants your marriage to work. It is not God’s desire for any marriage to end in divorce. He created marriage to be a lifetime affair. That is why the choice of a spouse is one of the most important decisions that a person will ever make.

One great thing about being a child of God is that you have God as the foundation of whatever you do. Having God as the foundation of your marriage will make it much stronger because God has many promises for your marriage in His word.

To know the promises God has given to you and your spouse, the two of you need to be immersed in God’s word. Study God’s word together and memorise scriptures. Believe God’s promises and confess them over your marriage. Claiming the promises of God for your marriage as a couple will help to strengthen your marriage.

TAKE ACTION

Study the word of God with your spouse and write out the promises of God for your marriage.
