Light For Dominion. John 1:1-5
Genesis 1:1-3
Gen 1:1 — Gen 1:3
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
Every beginning begins with the Word of God. Nothing begins without a word. The Word of God is the power that births all beginning.
Genesis 8:22
“While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”
We experience new yearly beginning because it is commanded according to the Word of God. We have seasons because it is established by the Word of God.
Psalm 74:17
You set the boundaries of the earth,
and you made both summer and winter.
The Word of God is the seed that brings forth every new beginning.
Jn 1:1 — Jn 1:5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
For every beginning, light is required to make progress and glorious journey and finish strong. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The word came, Let there be light and there was light. When your light comes, you arise and you shine. Isaiah 60:1.
There is no arising and shining, without light. People in darkness cannot arise hence cannot shine.
Luke 1:79
To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
And a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105)
And a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105)
Engaging the Word is the required switch to bring on the light.
Read The Word
Luke 4:16-20
16.And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17.And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18.The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
And recovering of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty them that are bruised,
Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
And recovering of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty them that are bruised,
19.To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20.And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
To have the light of the word of God, reading the word is important. God’s Word cannot enter into your mind and spirit if you don’t read the Word. From the scripture above, reading the scripture is a custom for Jesus Christ. In other words, it is usual for Jesus to read the scripture. Reading the Word is an habitual practice for Jesus.
When you read the scripture, it opens you up to God’s purpose for your life. Reading the word impacts your mind and spirit. Jesus Christ opened up His purpose to the people through the reading of the scripture.
Understanding of the Word is made available when you read the scripture.
whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (Ephesians 3:4)
When you read, you understand the knowledge in the mystery of Christ. There is no understanding apart from reading. What you don’t read you cannot understand. Understanding follows reading.
in the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. (Daniel 9:2)
Daniel understood by books. When you read the Word of God you gain understand of what is available to you and what has been accomplished for you. Without the reading of the Word, you deprive yourself of the light you need to dominate.
The entrance of His word gives light, and it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130.
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. (Nehemiah 8:8)
They read from the Book of the Law of God and clearly explained the meaning of what was being read, helping the people understand each passage.
and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: (Deuteronomy 17:19)
