Proverbs 18:20-21 (NIV & GNB)
From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. *You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.

Author PhotoIf you know how to use the power of your tongue well you will enjoy the fruits and benefits of it in your life. In Numbers 14:28, God told Moses to tell the Israelites that whatever He heard
from them was what He was going to do unto them. Hebrews 13:5&6 reminds us that God will never leave you nor forsake you and so, you can boldly declare that the Lord is your helper; you will not fear what man can do to you. You have a responsibility to boldly declare what God has said about you. That is a major way to fill your life with good things.

In Genesis 27:37, Isaac told Esau that he had already made Jacob Lord over Esau and his relatives; that he had sustained Jacob with corn and wine and that he had caused him to be prosperous. How did Isaac do all these things? By simply declaring God's Word and blessings over Jacob. In Psalm 107:2, the Bible says, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Also, in Psalm 103:20, the Bible says that the Angels of God hearkened to the voice of God's Word. This means that when you give voice to God's Word, you activate the operations of angels in your life.

There is nobody's tongue that can affect your life as much as your own tongue can. Your tongue can determine and influence the direction of your life (James 3:2-6), so allow the Spirit of God to influence and control your tongue. Continually speak faith charged words into your life. Let your mouth serve as a fountain of blessing and life giving words. You will enjoy God's abundance and blessings in your life.

PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God for the power He has put in your tongue and begin to declare His blessings and promises into your life.
