The Salvation and Prosperity of Your Soul   SATURDAY OCT. 29
	3John 1:2-4 (NKJV), James 1:21 (NKJV)  Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. *Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. If a man gains the whole world but loses his soul, he has sustained a substantial loss because the value of a single soul exceeds all the wealth in this world, Mark 8:36-37. God is concerned about the state of our souls because He created them and He understands how valuable and powerful they can be. It is from our souls that we make decisions, express our feelings and emotions as well as think and carry out other activities of our minds and intellect. Sometimes, the Bible describes your soul as your heart, as it is recorded in Proverbs 4:23 and Proverbs 23:7. Be watchful over the state of your soul. Your choices determine who you are in your soul. The salvation and prosperity of your soul are tied to your meditating on God's Word and living your life according to God's ways, Josh.1:8. Don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Rom.12:2. Desire to be more like Christ each day. Let your soul eagerly long after God like a deer longs after water, Psa.42:1. Do not let your soul become overcharged with either the pleasures or pressures of this life, Luke 21:34. Avoid anxiety; instead pray with thanksgiving about every single thing and meditate on good thoughts, Phil.4:6-8. Be humble and walk in love. Love what God loves and hate what He hates. Love righteousness and hate iniquity, Heb.1:9. Desire to always please God in your soul. Humbly lay aside all iniquity and allow the Word of God to renew your soul so that it may prosper. PRAYER FOCUS: Yield your will, emotions and intellect to God and ask Him to make you more and more like Christ from your inside.
