1John 3:1 (GNB & NIV)
See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children---and so, in fact, we are. This is why the world does not know us: it has not known God. *How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Our salvation is indeed so wonderful and special that if we maintain an attitude of gratitude for all it entails, our lives will be filled with joy and gladness that will cause us to perpetually
rejoice in the Lord again and again, as Philippians 4:4 says. We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ, our sins have been forgiven and God has made us partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, Col.1:12- 14. We are now new creatures. The old life is gone and replaced with a new life. God loves us so much that He has made us His own beloved sons and daughters. In fact, He has made us just like Christ (1John 4:17) and has raised us up to sit together with Christ in Heavenly places, Eph.2:4-7. God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, Eph.1:3. God has filled us with His glorious inheritance (Eph.1:18) and has also reserved a glorious inheritance for us in Heaven, 1Pet.1:3-4. We are ambassadors of Christ, 2Cor.5:20. He has made us His ministers and vessels through which He flows to touch and bless lives. He has given us all that pertains to life and godliness and called us to a life of glory and virtue, 2Pet.1:3. We are partakers of His divine nature. We have the name of Jesus and the Spirit of God. We cannot be disadvantaged. All things work together for our good (Rom.8:28) and God always causes us to triumph (2Cor.2:14). We are more than conquerors through Christ that loves us (Rom.8:37). PRAYER FOCUS: Worship God and thank Him for saving you and for all the power, blessings and privileges that come along with your salvation. | ||||||||
