Renewing the Mind.

(2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Spiritual maturity also includes how you put the members of your bodies to use. Your growth should be entire. As you grow up in spirit, it should be seen to affect your mental faculty and physical member. All of you must be seen to yield to God who owns all things. The primal need of man is to have his mind renewed. And be not conformed to this world Dont think like this age thinks. Dont think like this generation thinks. Dont think like the world thinks. Dont be fashioned according to this world.
But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. This implies that if your mind is renewed and it becomes renewed by the WORD of God then you will know what is the good, the acceptable [permissive] and the perfect will of God. But until your mind is renewed, you will stay in the babyhood.
Colossians 3:10 KJV And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
It is deeply important that the believers mind be renewed after the image of Jesus. The Holy Spirit has been given to you to be your Teacher and Guide. John 16: 13. As you spend time in the Word, the Holy Spirit will guide you into the reality of your redemption in Christ.
Also, you are to subject your body [flesh] to the dominion of your inward man. Offer your body as living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. 1 Corinthians 9: 27. You are to put to death all the deeds of the flesh that war against your inward man. It is your responsibility to mortify your members [faculties] which are upon the earth, and then you put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Colossians 3: 5, 10.
