CGMI ABOVE ONLY-DIVINE ELEVATION

Divine Elevation

TUESDAY
OCT. 11

Deuteronomy 28:1, 13 (NIV)
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. *The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Author PhotoDo you know how much God loves you and how much God wants to bless and promote you in every area of your life? In our text above, Moses explained to the people of Israel that the underlying purpose of God's commandments was ultimately to bless them and to set them in a position that would be higher than all other nations of the earth. God wanted to love and bless His people so much that people of other nations would see them and desire to be like them.

In a strange land, God caused Joseph to rise to the top and to became a blessing to His world. God similarly exalted Daniel and Esther. All they had to do was follow God's leading and lead their lives to please God. This remains God's desire for all His children today. This is why God leads us the way that He does. God leads us because He loves us and because it is His desire to exalt us. He wants to lift us up both in Him and also in every area of our lives. God wants us to be the head and not the tail. He wants us to be above and not beneath.

God wants to use us to showcase His power and glory so that through us, He can draw men and women into His kingdom. God wants to use us to touch and bless the lives of those within our circle of influence in a special way. Child of God, you are not wasting your time by believing God, serving Him and following His leading in your life. You are allowing God to prepare you for the divine elevation He has in store for you in every area of your life.
