Growing Up In Christ. Part 7 

Walking in Fellowship Through the Word. 

1 John 1:7 KJV
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Getting to fellowship with the Father is by finding out what the Word says and declares about Him. You see, Smith Wigglesworth said, I cannot understand God by feelings. I understand God the Father by what the Word says about Him. He is everything the Word says He is. Get acquainted with the Father through the Word. Gods Word is the light. The entrance of His Word gives light. Therefore, when you abide in the Word, you will walk in the light. Our fellowship with the Father and the Son is the walking in the light of the Word.

When we walk in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship one with another. When we know how much He loves us, we will know that He cannot fail us. It is in the Word that we find out about Him, about His love, about His nature, about how He cares for us, and about He loves us. Walking in fellowship with the Father and the Son is living by every Word that comes out of the mouth of God. That is how we fellowship with Him.

Luke 11:13 KJV
"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

As we fellowship with Him through the Word, we become aware that He is our heavenly Father and that He cares so much for us He will give us anything we ask of Him. As our heavenly Father, He knows that we have need of these things. Matthew 6: 32.
Therefore, He does not want us to worry about our life. He does not want us to fret or be anxious. If you know Him as your Father, you can be assured He will take a fathers place and will perform a fathers part. You may be certain and assured that if He is your Father, He loves you, and He will cares for you. Praise God!

The Psalmist says, The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Walking in fellowship with the Father and the Son through the Word by the power of the Holy Ghost enables us to know Him as our light. We come to know Him as our wisdom and salvation. As we know Him as the Father, fear ceased to exist in our life. We become bold and strong in Him. No more fear in our life. No more worry and anxiety to deal with. Now, we are walking by faith. We are fully persuaded that whatever He says He is, we know He is. Now, we are abiding in His love and nothing can separate us from His love in Christ.

And as we walk by faith and abide in His love, we become pleasing to Him. We are now, His beloved sons and daughters and He is very much well pleased with us. We know that He is the faithful Father and He will never disappoint because He cannot change. What a wonderful Father we have!

Through the Word and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we know Him increasingly. His Word becomes the way of fellowship and communion with Him. He loved us just as much as He loved Jesus Christ. We have become the heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. We have been accepted in the Beloved and now we are His beloved children. We are blessed glorious children of the loving, wonderful Father. He gave us the name of Jesus to use in every conflict of life, and enforce the defeat of Satan in every facets of our life. We are more than conquerors through the name of Jesus. Romans 8: 31-39.
